Sebon brings new reporting structure for merchant bankers
KATHMANDU, Aug 25:
The capital market regulator has determined the reporting structure for merchant bankers to encourage transparency.
Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) has today directed the merchant bankers to maintain uniform structure in the reports that are submitted to the regulator and the ones that they keep for their own use.
It has determined eighteen long form audit structure for the merchant bankers exercising the rights bestowed by the Merchant Banker Regulation 2064. They have to prepare the report according to their area of work. The merchant bankers can act as issue managers, underwriters, portfolio managers and share registrars in the securities market and they have to prepare separate report for their each merchant banking activity.
Issue managers have to report the particulars regarding public issues -Initial Public Offering and Follow-on Public Offerings, right issues, private placement separately and also particulars regarding collection centres, refund remaining unpaid and undistributed certificates as per the Sebon’s directions.
