SCB joins CDS; 29 companies board the paper-less trading system

ShareSansar, September 24:Standard Chartered Bank Nepal (SCB) Ltd has become the latest company to become the member of the CDS.
SCB’s CEO Joseph Silvanus and CDS and Clearing Ltd’s CEO Subodh Sharma Sigdel signed an agreement in this regard amid a ceremony on Tuesday.
The two companies agreed to dematerialize 20,416,720 units of ordinary shares of Rs 100 face value of the bank. The bank received International Securities Identification Number (ISIN)-‘NPE033A00008’- for its ordinary shares.
With SCB joining the CDS, the total number of the listed companies to become the CDS member has become 29. Likewise, 109 other listed companies are also in the pipeline for admission of their securities for dematerialization of their securities.
