SBAN Organizes Felicitation Program with FNCCI Representatives, Highlights Capital Market Reforms
Stock Brokers Association of Nepal (SBAN) organized a felicitation and congratulatory program on Wednesday for members involved in Nepal’s capital market who are also represented in the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
The event brought together SBAN office bearers, former presidents, and FNCCI representatives from various sectors. Speakers highlighted the need for stronger policy reforms in the capital market, including amendments to securities laws and better representation of capital market experts in regulatory bodies.

Participants emphasized issues such as market liquidity, IPO policies, book-building mechanisms, and investor participation, noting the growing importance of the capital market in Nepal’s economy. Some speakers also stressed the need for SBAN to focus on policy advocacy, awareness programs, and structured proposals for effective reforms.
The program also honored economic journalist Kumar Khatiwada for his contribution to financial journalism. SBAN officials expressed commitment to strengthening collaboration with FNCCI and working toward a more stable and efficient capital market.
