Sanskriti International School Leads Tree Replantation Drive for a Greener Kathmandu

On June 8, 2025, Sanskriti International School, in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal, organized a Tree Plantation Program near UN Park in Shankhamul to celebrate World Environment Day. The event saw participation from students, parents, and staff, who planted 123 native trees of 19 different species.

Emphasizing replantation rather than just plantation, the initiative aimed to restore Kathmandu’s disappearing indigenous flora. Students gained hands-on experience in environmental conservation, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible global citizens through action-based learning.
