Sanima Reliance Life Strengthens AML/CFT Compliance with High-Level Training for Senior Officials
Sanima Reliance Life Insurance Limited recently conducted a high-level training session on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Kathmandu. The program, held in line with Clause 17(a) of the AML/CFT directive, targeted top-level officials, including board members, major shareholders, and department heads.
Facilitated by experts from the Insurance Regulatory Authority, including Director Shambhu Raj Lamichhane and Deputy Director Sabita Thapa, the training focused on identifying financial crime risks, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring legal compliance. Key topics included governance responsibilities, internal policies, and operational procedures.
Chairman Ratan Lal Kedia and CEO Shivanath Pandey emphasized the company’s dedication to national laws and global standards, reaffirming a zero-tolerance approach to financial crimes. The event was also aligned with Nepal’s national observance of Anti-Money Laundering Day on Magh 14, showcasing Sanima Reliance’s proactive leadership in fostering a compliant and ethical corporate culture.
