Sanima Bank Limited and Standard Chartered Bank have partnered to introduce Nepal's first real-time API-based payment solution for outward Indian Rupee (INR) transactions. The integration enables faster, secure, and fully automated cross-border payments between Nepal and India, replacing traditional manual and batch-based processing.

The collaboration is expected to improve transaction speed, transparency, efficiency, and customer experience. The two banks also plan to expand the partnership by implementing API-based USD payment services. Officials from both banks said the initiative marks a significant step toward modernizing cross-border banking and strengthening digital financial connectivity.
