Sangjen distributes Rs. 40 m for land compensation
NUWAKOT:
The Sangjen Hydropower Project that has been planned to be constructed by Chilime Hydropower Company has distributed Rs. 40 million.
The project has distributed the amount of money for the compensation to the land occupied by the company for the construction of project from the local residents of project affected area.
The hydropower project has provided the compensation 203 ropanis of land to the respective owners.
The company has started the construction of 10-km road to reach to the project site from the Chilime Hydropower Project. The company will start the civil construction of the project after the construction of infrastructure within 2012 AD.
Among the four hydropower projects that Chilime has planned to construct, the company has planned to construct two of the projects - Sangjen (40 MW) and Upper Sangjen (14.6 MW) - in the first phase.
