KATHMANDU, July 8:
Sana Kisan Bikas Bank is going to issue ordinary shares worth Rs 60 million to increase its paid up capital to Rs 200 million. The development bank’s 60 per cent equity is held by 231 small farmer cooperatives and rest is held by some commercial banks. It provides financial assistance to small scale farmers by giving small loans to meet their agriculture needs. More than 175,000 households have benefited from the loans provided by the bank, it said, adding that its loan recovery rate stands at 99 per cent.
