Sampada Laghubitta Marks 9th Anniversary with Nationwide Blood Donation and Social Impact Programs

On the occasion of its 9th anniversary, Sampada Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMPDA) organized a blood donation program under the slogan “Your one drop of blood can save a life.” Held at the central office in Dumre, Tanahun, the event collected 32 units of blood, while a parallel program in Bara district collected 41 units, totaling 73 units of blood. The event saw participation from local representatives, Red Cross officials, and institutional executives, who praised the initiative.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, various branches of SMPDA carried out diverse community activities:
i. Jhapa: Support for women's cultural group with traditional instruments.
ii. Rautahat, Parsa, Mahottari: Donations of ceiling fans to temples.
iii. Nuwakot, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu: Distribution of fruits and educational materials to orphanages and elderly homes.
iv. Banke & Kailali: Distribution of school and health supplies.
v. Kaski: Installation of traffic awareness boards.
SMPDA currently operates in 45 districts across 7 provinces with 171 offices and a staff of 574, serving over 178,778 households, with a loan investment of NPR 9.95 billion and savings collection of NPR 2.66 billion.
