Salt Trading Corporation begins doling out 15% cash dividend warrants to shareholders

Salt Trading Corporation Limited has started distributing warrants for 15 percent cash dividend for the last fiscal year 2069/70 from today.The 47th AGM of corporation held on April 7 in Kathmandu had endorsed 10 percent bonus shares and 15 percent cash dividend to the shareholders from the net profit it earned in the last fiscal year.
The dividend can be collected from now onward from the accounts section of Salt Trading’s head office at Kalimati in Kathmandu or from the concerned district offices of the company during the office hours.
The company had distributed 25 per cent dividend to its shareholders from the profit it made in the previous fiscal year, too.
In the previous fiscal year, the corporation had made an impressive profit from the transactions worth Rs 4.31 billion.
Salt Trading Corporation is not just the largest distributor of iodized salt in Nepal but also has a huge market share in sugar, too.
The state-run enterprise has also started been bottling and selling liquefied petroleum gas since the past few years.
Notably Salt Trading Corporation has been distributing one of the highest dividends among all the companies listed in Nepal Stock Exchange, the only share market in the country over the recent years.
In the fiscal year 2067/68, it had distributed 35 percent dividend.
