Safety Triumph: OMODA E5 Electric Vehicle Aces Water Wading And Underbody Scraping Tests
OMODA's first all-electric model, the OMODA E5, recently underwent two crucial safety tests, namely water wading and underbody scraping, to assess the electric vehicle's battery safety.
In the water wading test, the E5 successfully navigated through a pool with water levels covering three-quarters of its front face, demonstrating robust sealed waterproof performance without any signs of water leakage or electrical faults.
The underbody scraping test simulated real-world scenarios where the vehicle encounters obstacles protruding above the road surface. The E5 drove over a 210mm high metal post, with its underbody battery pack remaining undamaged and effectively protected, showcasing structural strength and safety even after scraping incidents.
OMODA emphasizes safety as a foundational principle, and the E5's performance in these tests reflects the company's commitment to elevating industry safety standards.
