#SafaGarau Concludes Shrawan Campaign at Pashupatinath with 500+ Volunteers
The month-long #SafaGarau initiative concluded its Shrawan activities at Pashupatinath Temple, bringing together more than 500 volunteers, students, sanitation workers, and partner organizations to promote waste management during the busy pilgrimage season.
Led by CREASION Nepal with support from The Coca-Cola Foundation and partnership with the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), volunteers worked alongside sanitation workers every Monday to collect and segregate waste, raise awareness, and maintain cleanliness at the heritage site.
The initiative also inaugurated benches made from recycled PET plastic and recognized the contributions of volunteers and sanitation workers. CREASION Nepal said the campaign would be expanded nationwide, while #SafaGarau activities will continue until Hartalika Teej on September 14, 2026, promoting responsible waste management and sustainable heritage conservation.
