Rising Interest Rates Further Infuriates the Bears, All Sectors Take Hard Hits

The NEPSE index closed at 2,812.38 today after losing 76.25 points from yesterday's closing. The index had lost 40.26 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,889.21 and did not trade anywhere higher than that. While it went as low as 2,795.51, it ultimately closed at 2,812.38.
A total of 16,468,508 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 9.033 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 5.358 Arba. 229 scrips traded hands via 113,807 transactions.
Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 38.6 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 654 per share. Its shares also traded the most.
Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) gained the most 10% while Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) 8.17%.
All sectors have lost today. Finance lost the most 4.94%.
