The road in Bihun village, located in Baglung Bazar's district headquarters, which was opened in 2051, is undergoing upgrades after three decades. The road, connecting Thuldhunga to Kimbot, serves as an alternative to Madhyapahari Lokmarg and is a vital project for national pride. Kathekhola rural municipality has initiated the road upgrade with an allocated budget of Rs 50 lakh in the current financial year.

Tika Sangam Bk, the spokesperson for Kathekhola Rural Municipality, mentioned that the road, spanning approximately 10 kilometers from Suldanda to Thuldhunga, is frequently used by pick-ups and jeeps. Due to its narrowness, accidents occur regularly. The municipality has been allocating funds for its improvement for several years, considering its importance as a farmer's road.

Bk explained that the road, connecting Kathekhola Rural Municipality-5 and 6, has not been upgraded for 19 years, causing difficulties for local farmers in transporting milk and oranges to the market. The upgrade aims to address these challenges, with Ward No. 6 farmers benefiting the most. The rural municipality has undertaken the leveling of rural roads, including this crucial route.

The spokesperson emphasized the road's significance, noting that it is frequently used, especially by smaller vehicles, and has suffered damage over time. The construction work, entrusted to Om Palty Builders construction company on the 24th of Mangsir, is progressing rapidly. The company has signed an agreement with the rural municipality for road upgrading, focusing on widening the road and constructing concrete drains and slopes. As of now, 70 percent of the work has been completed, and it is expected to finish by the end of Falgun.

Village Engineer Binod Lamichhane affirmed the swift pace of the project, expressing confidence in completing the work on time. He highlighted the road's initial narrowness and the inconveniences faced by locals, including dust issues due to its unpaved condition. The ongoing upgrade is expected to address these concerns and enhance the overall transportation infrastructure in the area.
