Rastriya Beema Sansthan's posts decline in net profit to Rs. 82.93 lakhs in Q2; earnings from premium rises to Rs. 4.40 arba from Rs. 1.59 arba

Rastriya Beema Sansthan (RBS) has earned a net profit of Rs 82.93 lakhs till the month of Poush in the Q2 of fiscal year 2075/76. The net profit previously was Rs 1.23 crore in the same quarter of FY 2074/75.

As per the unaudited report for the second quarter published today, the net earnings from premium rose to Rs 4.40 arba in Q2 from Rs 1.59 arba in the corresponding quarter of last year. 

RBS has a paid-up capital of Rs 18.10 crore with a reserve of Rs 18.24 crore. Likewise, the company’s insurance fund has increased to Rs 19.20 arba from Rs 14.49 arba in the corresponding quarter. The company has yet to float IPO to the general public. It is wholly owned by government of Nepal.
