Rajinikanth's Crime Drama "Jailer" Set for Amazon Prime Video Debut on September 7

Rajinikanth's crime drama movie "Jailer" is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 7th.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Jailer" has enjoyed substantial success in both domestic and international box offices. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, this film marks its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video, coinciding with the theatrical release of Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan."

In addition to Rajinikanth in the lead role, "Jailer" features a star-studded cast including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Master Ritvik. Notably, the movie also boasts special cameo appearances by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff.

The film's storyline revolves around Tiger Muthuvel Pandiyan (played by Rajinikanth), a retired jailer on a mission to uncover the truth behind his son's killers. As he delves deeper into his son's world, the movie unfolds an intricate and engaging narrative.

Director Nelson Dilipkumar expressed his excitement for the project, highlighting their intention to showcase Rajinikanth in a high-octane action role and the collaboration of other esteemed stars from the Indian film industry.

"Jailer" has achieved significant box office success in India, amassing a total of Rs. 329.83 crore within its initial three weeks of release. The film earned Rs. 235.85 crore in its first week, followed by Rs. 62.95 crore in the second week and Rs. 29.43 crore in the third week.
