Pun Finance Minister
KATHMANDU:
Barsha Man Pun \'Ananta\' is appointed as finance minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai today. His appointment at a time, when the industrial sector is loosing its confidence and hit by militant trade unions coupled with energy crisis could encourage the private sector or not is a million dollar question.
Earlier, he was minister for Peace and Reconstruction in the cabinet of former PM Jhala Nath Khanal. Pun — a former deputy commander of Maoist People\'s Liberation Army (PLA) — is a close to Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
