The Nepali Army has revised the enforcement hours of the prohibitory order and curfew across Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur, allowing limited movement for essential activities. As per the new schedule, residents will be permitted to move outside from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and again from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The prohibitory order will be in force between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., while the curfew will continue overnight from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day.

Essential sectors such as healthcare, security, media, and emergency services, along with vehicles carrying food, fuel, medicines, milk, and other daily necessities, have been exempted from restrictions. Similarly, domestic and international travelers will be allowed to reach the airport by presenting their flight tickets. Government employees, staff of constitutional bodies, banks, financial institutions, and public enterprises will also be permitted to commute with valid identification.

Despite easing the hours, the Army has underscored that gatherings, demonstrations, and other forms of protest remain strictly prohibited throughout the prohibitory and curfew periods. Authorities have urged the public to comply with the rules to ensure security and maintain order in the Valley.
