Prudential Insurance Company Announces AGM; Public Shareholding to increase to 40%; No Dividend for FY 2075/76

Prudential Insurance Company Limited (PICL) has announced its 18th AGM on 26th Bhadra, 2077 (September 11, 2020).
The AGM is going to be held at the office of the company registrar, Birgunj, Parsa.
Among, other proposals, the AGM will propose reducing the promoter shareholding from the existing 80% to 60%. Thus, public shareholding will increase from 20% to 40%.
Prudential Insurance Company Limited is not distributing the dividend for FY 2075/76.
Based on the financial report of FY 2075/76 prepared according to the existing standards of Beema Samiti and Nepal Financial Reporting Standard, it seems that the company has to keep its funds as a reserve and other provisions. This is why it is unable to distribute any dividend for that fiscal year.
