Promoting Financial Literacy: NIC Asia Bank's Initiatives during Global Money Week 2024
NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) actively participated in 'Global Money Week 2024', organized by the National Bank of Nepal, to promote financial literacy among students and youth.
Through various programs conducted in over a hundred branches across all seven provinces, the bank engaged more than 6,000 students and youths nationwide.
Special focus was given to districts with low financial literacy, where the bank organized visits to branches and produced educational materials.
These efforts align with the directives of Nepal Rastra Bank and contribute to increasing public awareness and knowledge about finances.
NIC Asia Bank, with a significant banking network, has been instrumental in serving a large portion of the economically active population and has contributed significantly to government revenue.
Moreover, the bank is committed to financial inclusion, expanding its branches to remote districts and local bodies without banking services, with 72% of its branches located in rural and small urban areas.
