Profit Booking Led NEPSE Lost 41.02 Points, Only "Trading Index" Closes Green

The NEPSE index closed at 2,149.41 today after losing 41.02 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.87%. The index lost 21.35 points the day before yesterday.

Today the index opened at 2,203.84 and made an intraday high of 2,237.37. While it went as low as 2,143.97, it ultimately closed at 2,149.41.

252 scrips traded hands via 83,113 transactions. A total of 14,482,959 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.477 Arba in turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 7.658 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 22.2 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 566 per share. The shares of HIDCLP traded the most.

Kumari Dhanabriddhi Yojana (KDBY) and Singati Hydro Energy Limited (SHEL) gained the highest 10% and hit a positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) lost the highest 9.18% today.

Only one sector closed green, "Finance" lost the highest 3.70% while "Trading" gained 0.66% today.
