Profit Booking drags Nepse down

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) today also took a dip as it ended in the red zone. The market for the most of the trading session was in the green pasture but at the end of the day it came to settle at 405.02 level. The lost in the Banking, Hotels and Finance sectors at the closing period drag the benchmark index by 1.04 points.
Despite the decline in Nepse level, the turnover was high as compare to previous day which was astoundingly 89.50% higher than previous day. As the index is in correction phase, the investors are booking their profit on high level which is holding the Nepse to go up further.
In today’s session,Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL), closed at Rs 77, was the Top Gainer with Rs 7 or 10%. Whereas among the scrips trading above par value, Om Finance Limited (OFL), closed at Rs 187, was the Top Gainer with Rs 12 or 6.86%.Similarly, Hama Merchant and Finance Ltd. (HAMA), settled at Rs 213, was the Top Loser with Rs 15 or 6.58%.
Today also, KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 113, topped the categories of highest share traded with 92,165 units. Likewise, Janata Bank Limited (JBNL), closed at Rs 138, also had the highest transaction with 208 times. All in all, with 59,028 shares worth Rs 63,408,271 via 55 transactions, Everest Bank Limited (EBL), closed at Rs 1072, had the highest turnover; in which Broker No 25 (Sweta Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 61.69% stand alone dealing of EBL, amounting Rs 39,120,966 of 36,470 units via 5 transactions which includes matching of 36,446 units worth Rs 39,095,262 via 4 transaction.
The bulk trade of Soaltee Hotel Ltd. of 10,155 units at Rs 230 pushed the Hotels sectors down by 1.1% points to be the top loser in sub-indices. Similarly Banking and Finance also suffered loss of 0.32% and 0.01% respectively. On the other side, Hydro sector was the top gainer with 1.05% followed by Others, Development and Insurance with 0.94%, 0.61% and 0.06% points respectively. Sensitive index plummeted by 0.33 or 0.31% points to rest at 104.73 level while Float index also declined by 0.09 or 0.29% point to sustain at 31.48 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 82 with 33 gainers and 33 losers with total turnover of Rs 145,189,712 which is astoundingly Rs68,574,733 higher than prior trading session. Overall 377,816 units of shares were traded via 1505 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 382,720.60 Millions.
