Private sector points to power crisis as main obstacle
KATHMANDU, Jan 30 : Representatives of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Thursday held an interaction with Bernard Amadei, Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, in the capital.
During the interaction, the representatives shared the perspectives of the private sector on the business climate of Nepal.
Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar, the senior vice-president of FNCCI, said that the power crisis had become the main problem for industries.
Likewise, Dinesh Shrestha, an FNCCI executive committee member, pointed out that problems like labor unrest, political instability and high interest rates, among others, had created obstacles for economic growth.
