Prime Minister Shah to Hold Talks with Organic Agriculture Stakeholders

Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to hold discussions with office-bearers and business representatives of the Nepal Organic Association today on the promotion of organic agricultural production, processing, trade, marketing, and exports.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

Association President Dipak Baskota, Vice President Prem Lama, Gorkha Tea Estate Chairman Uday Chapagain, Himalayan Shangri-La Tea Factory Chairman Kamal Mainali, and Annapurna Organic Agro Industries Chairman Parshuram Acharya are scheduled to participate in the discussion.

The Nepal Organic Association is an organization working to promote organic agricultural production, processing, trade, and consumption.

Prime Minister Shah has recently been holding regular discussions with representatives from various industries, businesses, and productive sectors. On Tuesday, he held talks with representatives of the Federation of Nepalese Garment Associations, while on Wednesday, he met with representatives of the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal to discuss their concerns, suggestions, and legitimate demands.

The Prime Minister has been engaging with private-sector entrepreneurs and business representatives from various sectors to understand their problems and demands and has been initiating policy facilitation and measures to address them.
