Prime Minister Dahal Inaugurates Hyundai Motor Assembly Plant: A Boost for Nepal's Economy
Laxmi Motor Corporation (LMC), a subsidiary of Laxmi Group, marked a significant milestone on May 10, 2024, with the inauguration of the Hyundai Motor Assembly Plant in Ramgram, Parasi.
The event, graced by dignitaries including Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., Mr. Unsoo Kim, underscore a major investment in Nepal's automotive industry.
Spanning 65,000 sq m, with an annual capacity of 5,000 units per shift, the plant symbolizes a new era in Hyundai vehicle production, adhering to Hyundai Motor Company's standards.
Prime Minister Dahal highlighted Hyundai Nepal's contribution to industrialization, fostering economic growth and employment opportunities. Mr. Kim emphasized the plant's impact on customer satisfaction through advanced technology and skill transfer.
The ceremony included the historic roll-out of the first ‘Made in Nepal’ Hyundai Venue, marking the beginning of assembly and manufacturing. LMC aims to meet diverse customer needs, expanding its reach with showrooms, service centers, and charging points across Nepal, with plans for further growth in tier 2 and tier 3 markets.
