Prime Minister Balendra Shah to Hold Discussions with Garment Industry Leaders

Prime Minister Balendra Shah is set to hold a high level meeting with key officials of the Garment Association Nepal (GAN) at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the association's delegation will be led by President Pashupati Dev Pandey, along with First Vice-President Basanta Raj Adhikari, General Secretary Bhim Kumari Giri, Chief Executive Officer Suyash Khanal, and Technical Advisor Prakash Kumar Jha.

The upcoming dialogue will focus primarily on evaluating the current landscape of Nepal's ready-made garment industry, addressing key hurdles faced by local manufacturers, promoting domestic production and exports, generating employment, and fostering the overall growth of the sector.

This interaction comes as part of Prime Minister Shah’s broader initiative to maintain ongoing dialogue with private sector representatives, business leaders, and industrial stakeholders. Through these regular consultations, the government aims to identify structural problems, gather feedback for policy reforms, and issue directives for swift implementation.
