Prime Minister Balen Shah has departed for Bidur in Nuwakot this morning to conduct an on-site inspection of areas affected by the devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River.
Prime Minister Shah is accompanied by Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal during the field visit.
The Prime Minister and the minister left for Bidur at around 9:30 a.m. by road to assess the damage and the ongoing rescue and relief operations in one of the key flood-affected areas.
The devastating flood that struck the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa on Wednesday caused extensive damage along the riverbanks, affecting infrastructure and communities in the surrounding areas.
The field inspection is expected to provide the government with a firsthand assessment of the damage and the situation on the ground, as rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts continue in the affected areas.
