Prime Bank inks MoU with Nepal Barbars Trade Union; to provide range of banking services with loan of upto Rs 2 lakh to member barbers

Prime Commercial Bank has inked an agreement with the Nepal Barbar Trade Union to provide banking facilities to the members of the union.

The agreement was signed between the Chairman of the union Mr. Gajendra Thakur and CEO of the bank Mr. Narayan Das Manandhar amid a program.

Following the agreement, the bank will facilitate opening bank accounts of more than 31 thousand barbers associated with the union based in 41 plus districts who will get free mobile banking and Debit cards, insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh with Rs 25K medical insurance, among others.

Moreover, the bank will provide QR code payment channels to these member barbers who will receive Rs 5 for every QR based transaction for the first three months, will provide a credit facility of Rs 50 K to Rs 2 lakhs and additional necessary credit to expand their businesses, as per the media statement.
