Price of Cooking LPG Gas from India Reduced, Other Petroleum Products Adjusted

The price of cooking LPG gas from India has come down. According to the Nepal Oil Corporation, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has reduced the price of gas by 161 rupees per cylinder in the new price list.
Along with this new price, the corporation has also stated that it has eliminated the losses incurred on gas. Previously, the corporation had a loss of Rs 160 per cylinder on gas.
Additionally, IOC has reduced the prices of petrol and kerosene by 14 paise per liter and 5 paise per liter, respectively.
On the other hand, the price of diesel has increased by two rupees and 16 paise per liter, while aviation fuel has gone up by 57 paise.
Manoj Kumar Thakur, spokesperson of the Nepal Oil Corporation, was quoted as saying that the new pricing structure will result in a profit of 1.6 Arba rupees in fifteen days.
He also informed that the corporation's board of directors will discuss the price of petroleum products in the domestic market.
Currently, the market prices stand at 175 rupees per liter for petrol, Rs. 155 for diesel and kerosene, Rs. 160 for domestic aviation fuel, and $1.35 for external aviation fuel. The price for a cooking LPG gas cylinder is Rs. 1800.
It is worth mentioning that the Nepal Oil Corporation purchases petroleum products from the IOC and distributes them locally. The IOC provides the petroleum prices to the Nepal Oil Corporation every 15 days.
