President Paudel to Address Nation Following Visit to Flood-Affected Areas

President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to address the nation at 3:30 p.m. today following his visit to flood- and landslide-affected areas of Rasuwa and Nuwakot.

The President will deliver the address through Nepal Television, focusing on the current situation and the humanitarian crisis caused by the recent floods and landslides.

President Paudel visited the affected areas today to assess the extent of damage caused by the disaster. During the visit, he received briefings from officials, including representatives of the Nepali Army, on the damage, rescue efforts and the humanitarian situation.

His visit comes amid ongoing search, rescue and relief operations in the disaster-hit districts.

The floods and landslides that struck Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading on Bhadra 10 have caused significant loss of lives and property.

According to the details provided, 1,355 people have died while 4,996 remain missing following the disaster.

The government and security agencies have continued rescue, search, and relief operations in the affected areas, while efforts are underway to locate those still missing and provide assistance to displaced and affected communities.
