Preserving Cultural Heritage: Park Restoration by MetLife Nepal and Doko Recyclers

MetLife Nepal and Doko Recyclers collaborated to rejuvenate a park at the Karyabinayak Temple premises in Bungamati, Lalitpur, as part of MetLife's community initiatives.

This project, initiated in November 2023, involved extensive rehabilitation, including landscaping, installation of display boards, waste management infrastructure, and toilet maintenance.

The park's inauguration marks the beginning of efforts to preserve the space for the community's enjoyment. Nirmal Kajee Shrestha, General Manager of MetLife Nepal, highlighted their commitment to sustainable conservation practices and fostering environmental responsibility.

Doko Recyclers, established in 2017, is a key player in Nepal's sustainability movement, providing waste management services, research, advocacy, and policy dialogue. They aim to promote sustainable lifestyles and advocate for effective waste management laws.
