Prabhu Bank to facilitate banking service for current and former British Gorkha army men; to provide Prabhu Special Saving Account with range of benefits
Prabhu Bank and Gorkha Satyagraha Samiti Nepal have entered into an agreement for operating Prabhu Special Saving accounts for the current and ex-British Gorkha men. The agreement for the same was signed between chairman of Gorkha Satyagraha Samiti Mr. Krishna Bahadur Rai and CEO of Prabhu Bank Mr. Ashok Sherchan amid a program.
Following the agreement, ex-British Gorkha personnel can now receive their pension amount directly in the bank saving account that will have 6.5% interest yield annually. The account holders can receive range of facilities including the ATM card free of cost while receive 50% discount in locker and other important facilities. One can also receive upto Rs 5 lakh of loan without any deposit once he/she begins to receive the first pension amount, as per the media statement.
