Postal savings bank attracts more depositors

JANAKPURDHAM, SEP 25: 

House wives in Dhanusha district have been attracted to the Postal Savings Bank as one can open her account in minimum balance and due to tax-free interest.

The bank was established in 2033 B.S with an objective to encouraging people for their saving habit and use the collected money in the national development process. 

Prithak Ram Katuwal, an Official at the District Post Office, said that a total of 532 persons have opened their accounts so far and have deposited Rs 14.21 million.

Attraction towards the bank is on rise as one can open her account at minimum balance of Rs 100. The depositors have been provided with seven percent interest. 

Bank has been providing eight percent interest to its depositors of above 70 years old. Officials claim that the bank has won the trust of the clients due to the client-friendly services. 

The Bank has been providing loan up to Rs 300,000 charging 10 per cent interest rate sans collateral to its officials.
