PM Dahal Scrutinizes Meritocracy Standards in TU Vice-Chancellor Selection

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is examining whether the committee responsible for recommending the vice-chancellor adhered to the standards of meritocracy in putting forth candidates for the position.
PM Dahal has assessed the meritocratic aspects of the three individuals suggested by the TU Vice-Chancellor Selection and Recommendation Committee, headed by Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Ashok Rai. The committee recommended Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki, Kesharjung Baral, and Tankanath Dhakal for the Prime Minister's consideration.
Out of the 43 candidates who presented their candidacies for the TU Vice-Chancellor position, 14 were shortlisted. The final three nominees were selected based on their academic achievements, research articles, interviews, and presentations, as per the specified criteria for determining a suitable candidate for the role.
