Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives for the third consecutive time.

This happened today after the Nepali Congress withdrew its support from the Dahal-led government on March 5, initially posing a challenge to the government's stability. In response to the call for a vote of confidence in the HoR, Prime Minister Dahal displayed adept political maneuvering by garnering an impressive 157 votes.

The crucial support from various political parties, notably the CPN-UML, played a pivotal role in ensuring the Prime Minister's continued majority. Among the 268 MPs present during the HoR meeting, 157 cast their votes in favor of the Prime Minister, while 110 voted against him, and one lawmaker abstained from the voting process.
