Piyush Karn bags cash prize of Rs 25K with Scholarship as Winner of Knowledge Maestro- SEE Edition
Mr. Piyush Karn from Saptari has won the cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with 50% of Scholarship in Tuition fee for Grade 11 and 12 at Kathmandu World School for holding first position in the 3-days online quiz competition‘Knowledge Maestro- SEE Edition’ initiated Glocal After School in association with Kathmandu World School. Similarly, Mr. Pawan Parajuli from Syangja won the cash prize of Rs. 15000 with 30% of scholarship and Ms. Tripti Aryal from Nuwakot bagged the cash prize of Rs. 10000 along with 20% of Scholarship ate Kathmandu World School. They stood 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.
3-days free online real-time quiz competition - "Knowledge Maestro- SEE Edition"was organized to help SEE appearing students to prepare for upcoming SEE Examination during this lockdown situation. The competition was focused more on academics; questions were selected from their academic courses. The competition was held online through a Quiz App & Video Conference hosted by Glocal After School and it was telecast live on Facebook Channel of Glocal After School & Kathmandu World School.
The competition was held from 8th May to 10th of May 2020.221 SEE appearing students had applied for the competition among which 24 were selected during the Knockout Round. 16 among of 24 were selected for Final round and 3 of them were announced as the winner of the competition of the edition. Questions for the quiz were set from the compulsory subjects like Social, Science, Math, English, Nepali and HPE.
Today 16 finalists competed to win Knowledge Maestro – SEE Edition. The main motive behind organizing the quiz was to engage students in academic activity with some fun.
Winner of the competition, Piyush shares – “I was not expecting to win the competition, in Knock out and Semi- Final Round I was in lower rank. I am surprised and amazed when my name was announced as the winner. I participated in the competition to test my knowledge and learn”.

Ltd shares – This is our 3rd edition through which we are trying to make people engaged in intellect activities.The whole process of the quiz was completed online with the same objective of making students prepare, motivated and skilled for coming days. We are really impressed with the spirit of the young people being engaged and showcasing their abilities through these kind of platform. The world has progressed in different aspects than past day.
