PhonePe and Hotel Association of Nepal Partner for Fewa Festival: Promoting UPI and Nepali Culture
The Fewa Festival, in partnership with PhonePe and the Hotel Association of Nepal, will be celebrated from April 11 to April 14.
This festival, a favorite among domestic and Indian tourists, will feature traditional Nepali and international cuisines, music performances, dance presentations, art exhibitions, and workshops, providing an immersive experience of Nepali culture and cuisine.
PhonePe aims to promote UPI in Nepal during the festival, demonstrating the convenience of digital payments and raising awareness among local businesses.
This initiative, part of a collaboration with e-Sewa and the Hotel Association of Pokhara, seeks to educate users and highlight the ease of using UPI for transactions.
With the participation of over three thousand businesses and an expected attendance of over a hundred thousand tourists, this collaboration is set to make a significant impact.
Ritesh Pai, CEO of PhonePe International Payments, and Jagadish Khadka, CEO of e-Sewa, emphasize the importance of this partnership in advancing digital payments in Nepal and contributing to the country's digital economy.
Laxman Subedi, President of the Hotel Association of Pokhara, highlights the festival's significance in promoting tourism and offering discounts on accommodation.
