Pandemic and Prohibitory Orders Lead Gurkhas Finance (GUFL) to Postpone AGM

Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) has postponed its 26th AGM.

The AGM was to be held on Baisakh 21, 2078, i.e. May 04, 2021, in Amrapali Banquet, Kathmandu, starting at 11 am that day. However, the government has issued prohibitory orders in the country to curb the spread of the coronavirus. With a public message that health and wellbeing come above all priorities, the company has decided to postpone the AGM.

The existing paid-up capital of the company is Rs. 86.79 crores. The company did not propose any dividend for the fiscal year 2076/77. The last dividend was distributed way back, in the year 2071/72. 7% bonus shares were distributed.

The book closure date was declared on Baisakh 06. Thus, investors maintained till Baisakh 05 can attend the AGM on a different date that will be decided by the company. As of now, the AGM is postponed till further notice.
