Over 2,000 Vehicles Penalized for Traffic Rule Violations in Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police booked and fined 2,076 vehicles for violating traffic regulations in the past 24 hours, collecting more than Rs 1.53 million in revenue.
According to Traffic Police Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi, the violations included 88 cases of drunk-driving, 93 cases of unauthorized ride-sharing, 117 traffic signal violations, and 228 cases of over-speeding.
Police also recorded 129 cases of lane discipline violations, 57 cases of unnecessary honking in restricted areas, 90 roadside parking violations, 88 one-way traffic rule breaches, and 1,186 other traffic-related offences during the operation.
