Oriental Insurance's Generous Gesture: Aiding Earthquake Victims and Education in Nepal

The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. in Kathmandu has demonstrated corporate social responsibility by offering financial support of 2 million rupees. Out of this, 1 million rupees were contributed to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund for assistance to Jajarkot earthquake victims, and another 1 million rupees were allocated to the Samata Educational Foundation for school students.

The Chairman cum Managing Director, Mr. R.R. Singh, along with General Manager Mrs. Rekha Mohanty Thakur and CEO Mr. T. Chakraborty from the company's New Delhi office, visited Nepal to personally present the cheques to the respective beneficiaries.

The visit focused on business development, expansion of insurance operations, and social responsibility contributions, and saw the launch of a new insurance policy called "Oriental Youth Eco Care policy" for Nepalese citizens aged 18 to 45.

Operating in Nepal since 2024 BS as a branch office of an Indian government undertaking, The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. has expanded its services across the country, offering various insurance coverage options, including property, motor, marine, engineering, personal accident, health, and support to local insurance companies through re-insurance.
