Operating expenses sinks Bishal Bazaar's 3rd quarter profit

Despite growth in income, Bishal Bazaar has posted a loss of 5.81 percent compared to the same quarter last year to tally at Rs 29.44 million, according to an unaudited financial report published by the company for the third quarter.
The company posted a sales revenue growth of 3.89 percent but the profit fell as its business expenditure rose 52.60 percent to Rs 16.95 million from Rs 11.11 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company has a paid-up share capital of Rs 50 million and its reserve and surplus stands at Rs 162.34 million. Presently, its market price stands at Rs 1,799; whereas its net worth per share is valued at Rs 419.9 and earning per share stands at (EPS) Rs 58.90.
