NTC's new MD assumes office

KATHMANDU:

The newly appointed Managing Director of the Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (Nepal Telecom) Anup Ranjan Bhattarai assumed his office on Sunday.

A cabinet meeting held on Thursday last week had decided to promote the then Deputy Managing Director Bhattarai to the top managerial post.

He was serving as Director at the NTC's Wireless Telephone Directorate.

After assuming the office, Bhattarai claimed the company would accelerate in terms of service and development during his tenure.

He said NTC would soon bring new plans to compete with other telecom service providers.

"We will work to increase share value of the company, provide quality services to customers, and develop system of reward and punishment for human resource management," he said.
