NTC UPLIFTS NEPSE

Following the yesterday’s drop in the market contributed mainly by the massive decline in the level of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC), today the same scrip attributed in the growth of the market by 1.13 points.
The last minute increment in the price of NTC from Rs 542 to the closing price of Rs 550, uplifted the local bourse to the bullish mark at the end to close at 506.45 levels.
By the end of the day, NTC’ overall gain stood at Rs. 20, propelling the Others sector by 23.49 points. Along with Others, Hydro, Hotels and Development also followed in the market direction with gain of 4.33, 0.75 and 0.08 points respectively.
Whereas, Manufacturing tumbled by 10.38 points alongside 3.04 points loss of Insurance. Similarly, Banking also made a downfall of 2.79 points followed by Finance with 1.62 points descend.
All in all, the scrips of 84 companies were traded, out of which 27 scrips gained, 14 remained intact and 43 scrips lost.
The best performer for the day was, Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL), closed at Rs 233, with Rs 21 or 9.91% gain. Whereas, Himalayan Finance Limited (Bittiya Sanstha) (HFL), closed at Rs 35.32, was the worst performer with Rs 3.92 or 9.99% loss.
Among the shares trading above par, International Leasing And Fin. Co. (ILFC), closed at Rs 137, was the top loser with Rs 6 or 4.20% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.90, topped with 36,123 units. In case of ordinary scrips trading above par, Prime Commercial Bank Limited (PCBL), closed at Rs 320, topped with 12,008 units.
In terms of turnover, Uniliver Nepal Ltd. (UNL), closed at Rs 9800, topped with 790 units worth Rs 7,792,000 via 7 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of UNL was Broker No 51 (Oxford Securities Pvt.Ltd) with 31.76%; amounting Rs. 4,950,000 via 4 selling transactions totaling 500 units.
Overall 192,933 units of share were traded via 789 transactions worth Rs 59,486,985. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 501,807.97 Millions.
