NTA staff campaign for citizen responsibility

Employees of Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) have decided to join the cause of philanthropy by providing Rs 100 every month to Help Nepal Network. Free Employees’ Union yesterday handed over a cheque collected since mid-April from 30 staffers of the authority to Help Nepal.

Director at the NTA Ananda Raj Khanal highlighted the importance of initiating donation for promoting minorities and deprived group. “Small amount from a large section of citizen can contribute to change the lives of disadvantage people,” he said, terming it

‘Citizen’s Social Responsibility (CSR)’.

“Employees of the organised sectors should follow it as motives of social responsibility is more important than the amount,” Khanal added.
