NT offers festive discounts on phone‚ data services

Nepal Telecom is offering discounts on various telephone and data services on the occasion of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals.

The company is offering a discount of 50 per cent on text messaging service within its network from Thursday to October 18 and from November 2 to 9.

The state-run telecom company is also offering up to 200 local calls for free on PSTN and post-paid fixed C-phone services upon payment of monthly rental fee of Rs 200, according to a statement issued by the company today. The offer will be valid till November 15. Earlier, the telecom company was providing up to 175 calls for free on those services.

The company is also offering 10 per cent discount on pre- and post-paid cell phone services operating under GSM and CDMA networks from Thursday to October 18 and from November 2 to 9, while customers whose ADSL subscription is expiring in between October 4 and 18 will be able to use the service till October 20.

The company is also offering 10 per cent discount on calls made within a zone and outside a zone via PSTN, fixed pre- and post-paid CDMA phones, and VSAT. The offer will be valid from Thursday to October 18 and from November 2 to 9. The company is also offering 20 per cent discount on CDMA EVDO and PDSN services from October 5 to 18 and from November 2 to 9. Similarly, it is also offering 50 per cent discount on any three-month WiMAX package bought between October 6 and November 10. The company is also providing a bonus of 50 paisa on every minute of international call diverted to its network between October 10 and November 9.

At the same time, per minute charges on international calls made using access code 1424 to Australia, China, the UK, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Bahrain, Belgium, France and Norway have been fixed at a range of Rs 3 to Rs 10, while calls to India made using access code 699 will cost 2.90 per minute.
