NRNS homework for hydro power investment

KATHMANDU, SEP 12: 

Non Resident Nepalese (NRNs) have started homework for building 100 MW capacity hydro power project in Nepal. Participants of the Seventh NRN Regional Conference held in Sydney in Australia have been collecting necessary fund for the construction of the project, said FNCCI Senior Vice Chairman Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar, who returned home after participating in the conference. 

Some 500 representatives of various 18 countries participated in the conference and welcomed that 2012 and 2013 were declared investment year by Nepal.

The conference with the slogan 'Investment and creativity for prosperous Nepal' passed a 15-point Sydney Declaration, he said, and informed that Australian industrialists were interested in investing in Nepal's tourism, transport and hotel sectors. 

Participating in the conference from Nepal were Education Minister Dinanath Sharma, Industry Minister Anil Kumar Jha, former Home Minister Bhim Rawal and Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, as well as advisors of the president and PM.
