NRNA elects Kumar Panta as the new President; Badri KC, Arjun K. Shrestha, Sonam lama, Man KC and Rabina Thapa as VP

Voting for the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association has completed. It started at 10 am and completed at 6 pm yesterday. The election will choose a 42-member new working committee for NRNA for two years. A total of 76 competitors were vying for a total of 42 positions. Kumar Panta and Kul Acharya were battling for president's post. Likewise, Janaki Gurung and Dr. Hem Raj Sharma were competing for the post of General Secretary.

As the election has terminated, Mr. Kumar Panta has been elected as the President of NRNA. Mr. Panta is in the Hospitality business in Germany with around 36 hotels in operation. Originally hailing from Gorkha, Nepal he had moved to Belgium for further studies.

The ballot counting has completed, however the official announcement is yet to be done.
