NOC hikes fuel price again

KATHMANDU, FEB 25 -

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has jacked up fuel prices again by Rs 4 more effective from Saturday.

With the revision, petrol now cost Rs 116, diesel and kerosene Rs 85 and aviation fuel Rs. 109.

The fuel prices have been revised citing losses and for the ease supply, NOC said.

The decision comes as per the decision of  NOC’s board of directors´ meeting held on Friday evening.

Earlier, the NOC had hiked the price of LPG by Rs 175, petrol Rs. 10 and diesel and kerosene by Rs 9.

Following the revision, various students union had demonstrated against the decision. As a result, the government was compelled to deduct the prices following immense pressure on Jan 26.
