NMB’s MOU with DKC opens employment opportunities in Japan

NMB Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dai-ichi Kangyo Credit Cooperative (DKC) Japan to facilitate the banking requirements of Nepalese population residing both in Japan and Nepal. The key highlight of the MOU is that DKC shall provide employment and loans to Nepalese individuals in Japan based on referrals of NMB Bank.

The MOU - also covers facilitating Foreign Currency Deposits and remittances for NRNs from Japan to Nepal.

The MOU was signed between Mobuyuki Nitta, Chief Director, DKC and Sunil KC, Chief Executive Officer, NMB Bank during the 3rd Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) held in Kochi, India.

NMB Bank and DKC are members of GABV wherein both institutions are driven by value based banking principal at the core of their business models. Whilst NMB is the sole member of GABV from Nepal, DKC established in 1921is a Credit cooperative in Japan with themission ‘to bring sustainable development in the region where cooperative members (clients) live, and to enhance the quality of its clients’ life.’
