NMB signs MOU with GhangsiKhola Hydropower Project of Rolpa; multi stakeholder signing to foster all-round development of Rolpa

NMB Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Rolpa Investment Summit 2076, with GhangsiKhola Hydropower Project to initiate due diligence to provide all banking services including financing the project .

The MOU was signed between Mr. Sudesh Upadhyaya, Chief Business & Strategy Officer, NMB Bank and Mr. Purna K.C, Mayor – Rolpa Municipality in the presence of Hon. Barsaman Pun, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Mr. Pawan Kumar Golyan, Chairman- NMB Bank, Mr. Rajendra Kafle, Director – NMB Bank, Mr. Bishwa Kumar Chand, Chairman – Rolpa Chamber of Commerce amongst others.

The signing of the MOU falls within the Bank’s long term strategy towards providing sustainable growth wherein hydropower plays an important role in achieving self-sufficiency in power. The project intends to address the local community’s power needs and subsequently enable more economic activity in the area. NMB Bank is the leading bank in hydropower and renewable energy financing in the country with multiple projects aimed towards achieving self-reliance in energy.
